About

b. 1986, HK.

Logan Larsen

As an artist and researcher, I seek to explore methods of devotion, remembrance, and longing through the study of Queer histories. I am interested in the ways narrativized histories impact contemporary understandings of queer culture and the people they reflect. Based in print, my practice is interdisciplinary and includes sculpture, publication, installation, and moving image. I often remake devotional offerings and memorabilia as a way to connect with their offeror. I’m interested in the communities that emerge from devotion and the relic-like nature of objects that fans imbue with meaning. Having been brought up without access to the queer histories that now inform my work, I see my practice as connecting to lost community, time, and context.
